Twelfth night suggests a woman is inconsistent in love

English
1 answer:
Paul [167]3 years ago

False. Both women protagonists in the play are definitely very consistent about love. One is mourning a loved one and cannot concentrate in anything else. The other,Viola ,also very devoted to a brother, fights to find him and to do so she disguises as a man and falls in love with a man. Both women follow a goal and that does not make them inconsistent in love, just the opposite

Olenka [21]

Answer:

"she expressed them imperfectly”

Explanation:

The speaker is not complying with concord. Her reference is ,realised by them, ambiguous. Them lacks any reference if we move backwards in the excerpt. We may assume them refers to what she had to say,but it shoudl have been used , instead. However, them may refer to thoughts that comes later in the excerpt:"She expressed them imperfectly her thoughts were imperfect.", in these sentences ,which are not coherently linked , we infer that them is referring to thoughts.

ELEN [110]

The suffix here would be 'ment', which means 'an act of, a state of, or a result of'. The suffix 'ment' changes the word from a verb to a noun, therefore to argue is a verb and becomes an argument which is a noun, to disagree is a verb and becomes a disagreement which is a noun. Therefore to define argument using this logic and one of the four options given the correct answer would be C. state of disagreement.

Which is a correct analysis of the sentence?
Vladimir [108]
This is the original sentence: In a feeding frenzy, the pigeons descended upon the breadcrumbs that the kindly old man on the park bench continued to toss.

The correct answer is the prepositional phrase "on the park bench" acts as an adjectival phrase.
A is incorrect because a prepositional phrase cannot be a gerund phrase too. B is incorrect because a prepositional phrase cannot be a verb phrase as well. D is incorrect because 'to toss' is not a prepositional phrase, but rather an infinitive.
