Answer:

Answer A (or C. Both were very close)

Step-by-step explanation:

I don't know what "please only answer if you know not to ask a question" means.

Since ∠ADB is 90° and ∠BAD is 36°, then ∠ABD is 180-90-36 or 54°.

You could just try using the Pythagorean Theorem for all the answer choices.

(a²+b²=c² where a and b are the legs and c is the hypotenuse)

A.

11²+8²=c²

121+64=c²

c=\sqrt{185}

c ≈ 13.60

B.

I don't need to prove this because the shorter legs' sum is greater than the hypotenuse and will not make a triangle.

C.

15.1²+11²=c²

288.01+121=c²

c=\sqrt{349.01}

c ≈ 18.68 ≈ 18.7

D.

I don't need to prove this because the shorter legs' sum is greater than the hypotenuse and will not make a triangle.

I think answer A is the best since it rounds closer to the answer in the row. It was pretty close between C and A so you can decide if you'd like but I suggest A because it's a closer rounding.

Is (0,0) a solution of the system y>x and x+y>0?
olga55 [171]
Plug the values (x,y)=(0,0) into the inequalities:

y\ \textgreater \ x \\
0\ \textgreater \ 0 \\
not \ true \\ \\
x+y\ \textgreater \ 0 \\
0+0\ \textgreater \ 0 \\
0\ \textgreater \ 0 \\
not \ true

0 isn't greater than 0, no (0,0) is not a solution to either of these inequalities.

The answer is D.

one of the students wants to make a tabletop shaped like a right triangle the tabletop will have the same area as the tabletop s
Paha777 [63]
The area of the given figure is equal to the area of a rectangle with sides 5 feets by 6 feets less the area of four square cut-outs of side 1 feet.
Area of the rectangle = 5 x 6 = 30 square feets.
Area of the four square cut-outs = 4(1 x 1) = 4 x 1 = 4 square feet
Area of the given figure = 30 - 4 = 26 square feet.

Area of a triangle = 1/2 x base x height
i.e. 1/2 bh = 26
bh = 26 x 2 = 52
possible values of base and height = (1 and 52), (2 and 26), (4 and 13)

Find the solution set.<br> x^2 – 5x = 0
Tom [10]

Answer:

x=0  and x=5

Step-by-step explanation:

x^2 – 5x = 0

Factor out an x

x(x-5) = 0

Using the zero product property

x=0 and x-5 =0

Solving

x=0 x-5+5 = 0+5

x=0  and x=5

On a road map with a scale of 1 cm. : 110 mi., the distance between two cities measures 4.5 cm. What is the actual distance betw
Scorpion4ik [409]

Answer:

465 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

So you have the ratio 1 cm: 110 mi, so you can multiply both sides of this ratio by 4.5 to get
