Hanging out with friends that do not use alcohol is a great way to stay away from the influence! 

Here's why:

If you were to make plans with someone who was known for constantly being caught up in a bad crowd with drugs or alcohol, chances are, you would be pressured to also participate in activities similar to that. 

BUT 

Making plans with friends who don't drink ensures that you will not be pressured into drinking as well, as they do not affiliate themselves with harmful substances such as that.
