Answer:

Something like this perhaps?

The other day, I sat on a bench in my local park to quietly overserve my surrounds without disturbing them. It wasn't long before I noticed two people who I assume were dating by their closeness and intimate way of walking. They appeared to be having a normal conversation, the female seeming to occasionally giggle at something the male said. It then seemed like the male had said something that made the female let go of the mans hand and suddenly stop walking, her facial expression changing to show she was upset about something that had been said. The male on the other hand seemed confused and unsure of what he had said to anger the woman, quickly attempting to calm her down and figure out what had upset her. She continued to make angry motions with her arms before stomping away with the man following closely behind her.

dlinn [17]

The most hurtful reason to Papa for which he thinks others hate him is because they think he is an Inu.

What is the Meaning of Inu?

In the story "Farewell to Manzanar", the women call Papa "Inu" because he was released from the Fort Lincoln prison faster than other men.

In their opinion, he must have purchased his release by betraying other men. Hence the reason the women for the love of their husbands hate that only he came back and not their husbands.

Which of the following sentences is correct? A. A phrase has a subject and verb, but a clause does not B. a phrase is a group of
Andrew [12]
A phrase is a group of words that can serve to describe or modify one or more words in a sentence, but it lacks a subject. It cannot stand on its own and would not make any sense unless included in a complete sentence. A clause, however, contains both a subject and a predicate (verb). An independent clause is a complete sentence that stands on its own, while a dependent clause is not a complete sentence but still contains a subject and predicate. Thus, the correct answer above is C, "A clause has a subject and verb, but a phrase does not."
