Answer:

x = 8

Step-by-step explanation:

So, first thing first, we need to push all of the variables to different sides.

2x - 1 = 3/4x + 9, we move the +9 to the other side and get;

2x - 10 = 3/4x

Now we can just multiply both sides by 4 and we get:

8x - 40 = 3x

Now that there are no more fractions, we can just take away 8x from both sides to get;

-40 = -5x, or if we multiply the whole equation by -1 we get;

40 = 5x

Now its a simple matter of dividing both sides by five and we get;

x = 8

let's start with attempting to isolate the variable. remember what you do to one side you have to do to the other. -1

2x=3/4x+8

-3/4x from both sides

5/4x = 8

multiply both sides by 4

5x =32

divide both sides by 5

x=6.4 or 6 2/5. sorry if this is wrong

Which inequality has –12 in its solution set? A B C D
Feliz [49]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

solve each inequality:

A : x+6<8  ,  x<-8-6 , x<-14

B: x+4≥-6 ,  x≥-10

C: x-3>-10 , x>-7

D:x≤-9

since -12 is on the left side of the number line then x≤ -9 would be the solution

Battery packs in electric go-carts need to last a fairly long time. The run-times (time until it needs to be recharged) of the b
pav-90 [236]

Answer:

The minimum level for which the battery pack will be classified as highly sought-after class is 2.42 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

Problems of normally distributed samples are solved using the z-score formula.

In a set with mean \mu and standard deviation \sigma, the zscore of a measure X is given by:

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

The Z-score measures how many standard deviations the measure is from the mean. After finding the Z-score, we look at the z-score table and find the p-value associated with this z-score. This p-value is the probability that the value of the measure is smaller than X, that is, the percentile of X. Subtracting 1 by the pvalue, we get the probability that the value of the measure is greater than X.

In this problem, we have that:

\mu = 2, \sigma = 0.33

What is the minimum level for which the battery pack will be classified as highly sought-after class

At least the 100-10 = 90th percentile, which is the value of X when Z has a pvalue of 0.9. So it is X when Z = 1.28.

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

1.28 = \frac{X - 2}{0.33}

X - 2 = 0.33*1.28

X = 2.42

The minimum level for which the battery pack will be classified as highly sought-after class is 2.42 hours
