The correct answer is A) Containment.

After the conclusion of World War II, the United States and Soviet Union emerged as global superpowers. Despite their new status and previous alliance, these two countries had very different ideas of what the post World War II world would look like. The Soviet Union wanted to spread the system of communism while the United States wanted to spread capitalism and democracy.

This is why the US adopts a policy of containment. The goal was to stop the spread of communism to other countries, as the US feared that this system severely limited the individual freedoms of citizens living within those countries.

Why do you think Einstein pointed out that the United States did not have much high-quality uranium?
Leya [2.2K]

Answer:

In the summer of 1939, American newspapers began to discuss the prospects of using atomic energy. Although physicists reported new advances in this field, many Americans doubted that nuclear weapons could be created. Leo Silarda, a physicist from Hungary, was worried that America had not shown itself in such a serious matter: this could be an advantage for Nazi Germany.

Sylard himself could not find support in the government and decided to seek help from his friend Albert Einstein. Sylard told him that the atomic bomb can be created with the current achievements of science. Sylard’s request was that Einstein warned the Belgian queen, who could protect large reserves of uranium ore in the Belgian Congo from the Nazis.
