Who is Willy Loman from death of a salesman ?
marissa [1.9K]

He is one of, if not the, main character. He slowly looses his sanity throughout the play as he realizes a lifetime of work hasn't really earned him anything.

The whole play talks about the American people becoming disenchanted with the American dream, and Willy Loman is kindof a character study of this; he is unable to cope with the fact that American society isn't really fair and kills himself during a delusion of the past as he can't comprehend the present in which he, his wife, and his two sons struggle so much. (the play is crazy dark)

Summary of "like what you seeing"
ElenaW [278]
A dramatic monologue is a long piece of writing or poetry that seeks to reveal the reader or character’s innermost thoughts and feelings. Dramatic monologues can be entire works on their own, such as Tennyson’s poem "Ulysses," or they can simply be passages within a longer work, such as the soliloquys in Shakespeare’s plays. The dramatic monologue as a form or literary device was popularized by English Romantic poets such as Percy B. Shelley and Robert Browning.
