Answer:

x=30

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{4}{5}=\frac{20}{x-5} \\\\4(x-5)=20*5\\\\4x-20=20(5)\\\\4x=20(5)+20(1)\\\\4x=20(5+1)\\\\4x=20(6)\\\\x=\frac{20(6)}{4} \\\\x=5*6\\\\x=30

\frac{4}{5}  =  \frac{20}{(x - 5)}

By Cross-multiplication

\implies4 \times (x - 5) = 20 \times 5

\implies4x - 20 = 100

\implies4x = 100  + 20

\implies4x = 120

\implies \: x = \cancel  \frac{120}{4}

\implies \: x = 30

Carl worked six and one-half hours on Monday. He worked eight and two-third hours on Tuesday. How many hours did Carl work in al
Gnoma [55]

Answer: 15 hours and 37 minutes

Step-by-step explanation: 6 and 1/2 hours is 6 hours and 30 mins

8 and 2/3 hours is 8 hours and 67 mins

So 8 hours + 6 hours is 14 hours

Since 67 minutes is over an hour, we're going to take 60 minutes from 67, leaving u with 7 minutes

Add the 60 minutes to the 14 hours and you get 15 hours.

Take the 7 minutes and add it to the 30 minutes and you get 37 minutes.

All together the answer is 15 hours and 37 minutes

How do i work this out?
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]

She has 45% of the original amount left

<h3>Ratio and proportions</h3>

Fractions are written as a ratio of two integers

Given the following

Initial amount. = ∈4000

Amount given to her sister = 1/4 * 4000 = 1000

Amount given to her brother = 40% of 3000 = 1200

Amount left = 4000 - (1000+1200)

Amount left = ∈1800

Determine the percentage left

x * 4000 = 1800

x = 1800/4000

x = 0.45

x = 45%

Hence she has 45% of the original amount left

How do I solve this? I am confused Quick!!
KiRa [710]
Answer: green angle = 76 degree

Solution:
We can use interior angle properly of a triangle to find it.

Exterior angle = sum of interior angles

So, 116 = 4x + (7x + 6)

11x + 6 = 116
11x = 116 - 6
11x = 110
x = 110/11 = 10

So, angles = 4 x 10 = 40
7 x 10 + 6 = 70 + 6 = 76

Green angle: 76 degree
