In the sixth grade, 12 out of 27 students have a dog. If there are 162 students, how many would have a dog
2 answers:
I am not really sure but you could try working it out this way;
12/27, 24/54, 36/81, 48/108, 60/135, 72/162
72 students have dogs.
12/27=x/162
Multiply diagonally
1944=27x
Isolate the variable by dividing both sides by 27
x=72
