Explanation:

Static electricity is a form of electrical energy which is produced by the imbalance of positive and negative charge.

The characteristics of static electricity are:

1. The charges do not move and therefore called static in nature.

2. The charges of static electricity possess less energy, therefore, remain for a small period.

3. Static electricity is build up mostly on non- humid dry days.

4. The charge of static electricity does not generate electric fields but they are constant.

5. Due to a constant electric field, no magnetic field is generated.

6. The static electricity can be observed in the lightning, Van-de graff generator and xerox machines.

Which of the following best explains how the light reactions of photosynthesis generate ATP?
frutty [35]

Answer:

B. A proton gradient drives the formation of ATP from ADP and inorganic phosphate via ATP synthase.

Explanation:

Light reaction of photosynthesis includes the splitting of water in the presence of sunlight and electron transfer from PSII to PSI via an electron transport system. During the transfer of electron through cytochrome of the electron transport system, the proton concentration gradient is generated across thylakoids. The proton concentration gradient is harvested to drive ADP phosphorylation by the catalytic site of ATP synthase accompanied by downhill movement protons through its proton channels.

Diffusion, Osmosis and Enzymes
Nana76 [90]

The given statements can be matched as following:

a)The diffusion of water from a high concentration to a low concentration  - Osmosis

b)Lowers the amount of energy needed to perform chemical reactions - Enzymes

c)When you breath O2 passes into your blood stream while CO2 passes out of your blood stream -Simple Diffusion

d)Involved with, but does not become a part of chemical reactions -Enzymes

e)Small molecules with no charge can move through semi-permeable membranes by this process- Simple Diffusion

Explanation:

a) Osmosis is generally defined as the process by which water is transported from a region of Higher concentration to the region of Lower concentration.

b) Enzymes are well known to reduce the amount of energy required or needed for a chemical reaction to take place.

c)The process by which oxygen passes through our blood stream and carbondioxide passes through the other is known as simple diffusion process.

d) Enzymes are ones that actively gets involved in the chemical reaction but they will never become a part of that chemical reaction.

e) Diffusion is the process by which very small molecules that carries no charge moves through semi permeable membrane.
