Help, Please! I really need this done right Carlos is analyzing the results of an experiment on two groups of mice in which he c

ompared the difference in their weight gain after feeding each group a different type of food for one month. The difference in the mean weight gain is 0.6 grams. The standard deviation of the difference in sample means is 0.305. The 68% confidence interval for the population mean difference is ±(A.0.305, B.0.600, C.0905 D.1.200) The 95% confidence interval for the population mean difference is ±(A.0.160,B.0.305,C.0.610,D.0.915)

Given:
difference in the mean weight gain is 0.60 grams
standard deviation of the difference in sample mean is 0.305

68% confidence interval for the population mean difference is a) 0.305

0.60 + 1 * 0.305
0.60 + 0.305 = 0.905
0.60 - 0.305 = 0.295

95% confidence interval for the population mean difference is c) 0.61

0.60 + 2 * 0.305
0.60 + 0.61 = 1.21
0.60 - 0.61 = -0.01

Which polynomial function has a leading coefficient of 1 and roots 21 and 31 with multiplicity 1?
schepotkina [342]

Answer:

Which i think is the first one, there may just be a typing error.

Step-by-step explanation:

A polynomial of order n has the following format:

f(x) = a(x - x_{0})(x - x_{1})...(x - x_{n-1})

In which a is the leading coefficient, x_{0}, x_{1},..., x_{n-1} are the roots.

If a root appears m times, they are said to have multiplicity m.

Leading coefficient of 1 and roots 21 and 31 with multiplicity 1

f(x) = 1(x - 21)(x - 31)

So the correct answer is:

f(x) = 1(x - 21)(x - 31)

Which i think is the first one, there may just be a typing error.
