What could Vans do to keep its dealer network intact and supportive even after opening a corporate store in their market
arlik [135]

Answer:

Vans

To keep its dealer network intact and supportive even after opening a corporate store in their market,

Vans should not compete directly with its dealer network stores, especially based on lower prices.  It must ensure that its prices are at similar levels with those offered by its dealers.

Explanation:

Vans can also differentiate the products in the corporate store from those offered by the dealer networks.  It can offer its products for bulker purchases than those offered by the dealers.  It can also inform its dealers that the corporate store in their market exists to offer close-by support to the dealers instead of competing with them.  The corporate store may be a way to undertaking extensive advertisements and publicity that will rub off favorably on the dealers.

Answer:

Total market value $383.8 million

Debt is 24.75%

Preferred stock is 5.21%

Common equity is 70.03%

Explanation:

Calculation of the weights that MV Corporation should use in its WACC

Debt value : $95 million

Preferred stock value : $20 million

Market value of common equity:

$48 per share×5.6million shares= $268.8 million

Total market value of firm: $95 +20 +268.8 =$383.8 million

Weights for WACC calculation:

Debt =95/383.8

=24.75%

Preferred Stock =20/383.8

=5.21%

Common Equity =268.8/383.8

=70.03%

Therefore the total market value of the firm will be $383.8 million Debt is 24.85% of the total value, preferred stock is 5.21%, and common equity is 70.03%

The maximum price that can be asked for the new jPad model is $2,000 at which point they would sell 0 units. It costs Pear $600
djverab [1.8K]

Answer: $700

Explanation:

Based on the information given in the question, the optimal price for this new jPad, which can be assumed to operate in a monopoly will be calculated thus:

P = 2000+Q

TR = P × Q

TR = (2000 + Q) × Q

TR = 2000Q + Q²

MR = 2000 + 2Q

MC = 600

Since marginal revenue equals to marginal cost, this will be:

MR = MC

2000+2Q = 600

2Q = 2000 - 600

2Q = 1400

Q = 1400/2

Q = 700
