Answer:

b. should have the right of equal protection under the law.

Explanation:

In this example, we learn that Gerald's counsel believes that the code under which Gerald was found delinquent was invalid. This was because the code was contrary to due process rights. Therefore, what the counsel is saying in these lines is that the code did not give equal protection under the law to Gerald, and that because of this, it should not be considered valid.

Answer:

d. should be treated exactly the same as adults in court

Explanation:

"Gerald's counsel argued that the juvenile code of Arizona under which Gerald was found delinquent was invalid because it was contrary to the due process rights: (1) notice of the charges with regard to their timeliness and specificity, (2) right to council, (3) right to confrontation and cross-examination, (4) privilege against self-incrimination, (5) right to a transcript of the trial record, and (6) right to appellate review."

Explain the reason why Canada is thinly populated although it is the second largest country in the world.
Ket [755]

Weather will be the primary reason. Despite its huge size. the real habitable area is probably less than 10% of its geographical size. Even Southern Ontario is deemed by many I know to be "too cold to live". 90% of Ontario and Quebec are simply inhabitable. I also personally think the entire Manitoba and Saskachewan are not suitable for human habitation unless we can create a way to simply hibernate during the 6 month winter (why there are so few people in Montana and North Dakota?) The fact that Montreal are thrive as a vibrant metropolis is already sort of a miracle and we don't see many such large cities with such severe weather. The only other case I can think of is probably Moscow.
