Well I cannot tell you the answer but here are the steps to answering this question:
1. Subtraction needs to be 2 fractions with the same denominators so the way to do that is to find the factors and pick any that is the same factors for both numbers (it doesn't matter because whatever one you pick, you will get different answers but equivalent fractions which is still correct)
2. subtract only the numerators (the top number) but NOT the denominators (the bottom number) because if you do that, you will get 0 as the denominator and that gives you a negative number and that is a totally wrong answer
3. The sum is your answer!
hope you understood!
Just tell me if you didn't understand and I can tell you in a different way that is easier for you.

Answer:

A ∩ B = {1, 3, 5}

A - B = {2, 4}

Step-by-step explanation:

The given problem regards sets and set notation, a set can simply be defined as a collection of values. One is given the following information:

A = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}

B = {1, 3, 5, 6, 9}

One is asked to find the following:

A ∩ B,

A - B

1. Solving problem 1

A ∩ B,

The symbol (∩) in set notation refers to the intersection between the two sets. It essentially asks one to find all of the terms that two sets have in common. The given sets (A) and (B) have the values ({1, 3, 5}) in common thus, the following statement can be made,

A ∩ B = {1, 3, 5}

2. Solving problem 2

A - B

Subtracting two sets is essentially taking one set, and removing the values that are shared in common with the other set. Sets (A) and (B) have the following values in common ({1, 3, 5}). Thus, when doing (A - B), one will omit the values ({1, 3, 5}) from set (A).

A - B = {2, 4}

Use the quadratic formula to solve x² + 9x + 10 = 0.
tekilochka [14]

Answer:

The quadratic formula: (-b+-sqrtb^2-4ac)/2a

Plugging in the values of a=1, b=9, and c=10, the roots of the equation are: -7.7 and -1.3.

So, the first option is correct.

Let me know if this helps!
