Answer: Option 'B' and 'C' are correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

A  rocket was fired into the air.

The rocket reached a maximum height of 59 feet at point (3.5,59) as shown in the figure.

And it took the rocket 3.5 seconds to reach its maximum height.

and the rocket landed after 6.9 seconds, So option 'D' is false which states  The rocket landed after 34 seconds.

The equation that represents the rocket’s height over time has two solutions is completely false as it has only one solutions.

Hence, Option 'B' and 'C' are correct.

Answer:

OH MY GOD CAN THE VERIFIED ANSWERS BE THIS BAD. I swear every verified answer I've been getting on this site have been incomplete or totally wrong, and you can't even report it because it is a verified person making the answer......... anyway I took the test yourself test and got this question wrong because this verified answer says that b and c are correct, which is true but so is e. I can't believe that they would make an incomplete answer and get people confused... Anyway once again, the answers for the question are B, C and E. I REPEAT, B, C AND E.

Step-by-step explanation:

EVERYONE DOWNVOTE THE VERIFIED ANSWER SO WE CAN SHOW THE PEOPLE THAT THE VERIFIED ANSWER IS INCOMPLETE. DON'T LET ANYBODY ELSE BE TRICKED INTO GETTING THE INCOMPLETE ANSWER!!!

Review Question #3:

1.) False - The rocket was launched from a platform 4.9 feet above the ground.

This is false because on the graph it shows that it started at 0 feet.

2.) True - The rocket reached a maximum height of 59 feet.

This is true because it shows on the graph that the rockets highest point was at 59 feet.

3.) True - It took the rocket 3.5 seconds to reach its maximum height.

This is true because it shows on the graph where the rocket hits it’s maximum height that it hit that point in 3.5 seconds.

4.) False - The rocket landed after 34 seconds.

This is false because it clearly shows on the graph that the rocket landed a little bit before 7 seconds after take-off.

5.) True - The equation that represents the rocket’s height over time has two solutions.

This is true because there are two points on the graph which shows when the rocket lands and when it is at its highest point.

1. (3 + xz)(–3 + xz)
2. (y² – xy)(y² + xy)
3. (64y2 + x2)(–x2 + 64y2)

<u>Explanation</u>
The difference of 2 squares is in the form (a+b)(a-c).
<span>(3 + xz)(–3 + xz) = (3 + xz)(xz -3)
                            = (xz + 3)(xz - 3)
                           = x</span>²y²-3xy+3xy-9
<span>                           =x</span>²y² - 3²<span>

(y</span>² – xy)(y² + xy) = y⁴+xy³-xy³-x²y²
<span>                           = y</span>⁴ - x²y²
<span>

(64y2 + x2)(–x2 + 64y2)= (64y</span>²+x²)(64y²-x²)
                                       = 4096y⁴-64y²x²+64y²x²-x⁴
                                       = 4096y⁴ - x⁴

Viktor [21]

In the triangle, the fact that wee are given 2AX = 3XD isn't enough to prove similarity.

<h3>How to explain the triangle?</h3>

a. In the question, we are given 2AX = 3XD. An arbitrary triangle AXB can be drawn where one extends AX and choose a point D on the extended line in order for 2AX = 3XD. Also, extend BX and choose a point C on the line so that 2BX = XC. Even though they both satisfy the condition, they're not similar.

b. We are given that AX/BX = DX/CX. When this is rearranged, we'll have AX/DX = BX/CX. In this case, let AX/DX = k. DX and AX will align upon rotation of 180°. The triangle can then be dilated by a factor of k. This brings about the mapping of triangle DXC to AXB. Therefore, the original triangle DXC is similar to AXB.

c. Lines AB and CD are parallel. Here, the dilation moves line CD onto line AB. Here, since the dilation moves D to a point on ray XA, D must move to A. Therefore, the rotation of triangle DXC is similar to AXB. Therefore, DXC is similar to AXB.

d. Here, angle XAB is congruent to angle XCD. This shows similarity and in this case, XCD is similar to XAB.

X and y intercept of 8x+3y=12
vesna_86 [32]
To find the y or x intercept of an equation, all you have to do is set the varibale equal to 0.

However, its best to put it in slope or quadratic form.

y=-8x+4

The y intercept is 4 because when x = 0, y is 4.

Then, we can do the same thing to find the x-intercept but just change it up a bit.

x=-3y+6/4

The x-intercept is 3/2

If f (x) = StartFraction x minus 3 Over x EndFraction and g(x) = 5x – 4, what is the domain of (f circle g) (x)?
alexandr1967 [171]

Answer:

<h2>The domain is all real values of x except \frac{4}{5}.</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The function, f(x) = \frac{x - 3}{x}.

g(x) = 5x - 4.

Hence, (f circle g) (x) = \frac{5x - 4 - 3}{5x - 4}.

We need to find the domain of (f circle g) (x) .

The domain means the set of values of x, for which we will get a real value of (f circle g) (x).

The function will not give a real value when, 5x - 4 = 0 that is x = \frac{4}{5}.

Hence, the domain of the function will be all real values of x rather than \frac{4}{5}.
