Answer

Find out the  total area of these five rooms .

To prove

Formula

Area of a square = a²

Where a is the side of a square.

As given

Sides of three square rooms measure 13 feet each.

Thus

Area of the Three rooms = 3 × 13²

As given

sides of two square rooms measure 15 feet each.,

Area of two rooms = 2 × 15²

Total area of the five rooms = Area of the Three rooms + Area of two rooms

                                             = 3 × 13²  + 2 × 15²

                                             = 3 × 169 + 2 × 225

                                             = 507 + 450

                                             = 957 unit²

Therefore the total area of the five rooms be 957 unit².

Thus Option (a) is correct.

<span>the area of a square is the product of two of its sides

the 13 foot square = 13*13 = 13^2

for three squares= 3* 13^2

the 15 foot square = 15*15 = 15^2

for 2 squares = 2 * 15^2

Add the values together and you get A as the answer</span><span>

Sara and Sam are each working on a science project in which they need to research the individual masses of the nine planets (inc
makkiz [27]

Answer:

2000 times

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Sara:

Mercury = 3.302 * 10^{23

Saturn = 5.685 * 10^{26

Sam:

Mercury = 3.302 * 10^{29

Saturn = 5.685 * 10^{32

To determine the number of times, the mass of Saturn is greater than the mass of Mercury, we simply do the following:

Times = \frac{Saturn}{Mercury}

Using Sara's measurement; this gives:

Times = \frac{5.685 * 10^{26}}{3.302 * 10^{23}}

Apply law of indices

Times = \frac{5.685 * 10^{26-23}}{3.302}

Times = \frac{5.685 * 10^3}{3.302}

Times = 5.685/3.302 * 10^3

Times = 1.72 * 10^3

Approximate

Times = 2 * 10^3

Times = 2000

What equation results from completing the squre and then factoring x^2+10=15
nlexa [21]

For this case we must complete squares:

x ^ 2 + 10x = 15

We add the square of half the coefficient of the term "x",

(\frac {b} {2a}) ^ 2 on both sides of the equation:

x^2+10x+(\frac {10} {2 (1)}) ^ 2 = 25 + 15\\x ^ 2 + 10x + 5 ^ 2 = 25 + 15

According to the perfect square trinomial we have:

(a + b) ^ 2 = a ^2 + 2ab + b ^ 2

Rewriting the expression we have:

a = x\\b = 5\\(x + 5) ^ 2 = 25 + 15\\(x + 5) ^ 2 = 40

ANswer:

(x + 5) ^ 2 = 40
