1. Distributive Property on the left side

2x-24=5x+9

2. Subtract 9 from the right side and do the same on the left side

2x-33=5x

3. Subtract 2x from both left and right sides

-33=3x

4. Divide 3 from Borge left and right sides

-11=x

Answer: x = -11
