galina1969 [7]

Answer:

b. Restrict first amendment rights.

Explanation:

The Schenck v. United States (1919) Supreme Court case ruled by putting limitations on the rights of individuals if it concerns the interest of the nation. This ruling states that constitutional rights are not absolute and can be changed anytime the government sees fit.

The Supreme Court decided to issue the limits on the freedoms of individuals, especially during wartime. This ruling established the ability of the government in suppressing any speech or news that it thinks is harmful to the welfare of the nation. It stated that with concerns regarding the <em>"clear and present danger" </em>that can put the nation in jeopardy, the government is free to restrict the first amendment rights as and when it feels necessary.

Thus, the correct answer is option b.

The giant-impact hypothesis proposes that the Moon was created out of what was left of a collision between Earth and an astronomical body the size of Mars, around 4.5 billion years ago, in the Hadean eon. The heavy bombardment was a period when leftover planetesimals hit planets during the solar system's first hundred million years.

The battle of Antietam affected the focus of the civil war by?
marin [14]

Leading to the Emancipation Proclamation.

The Battle of Antietam was one of the bloodiest in American history. The war was photographed and many letters were sent home of the horrors seen at the battle.

The battle itself was a stalemate but the Union claimed victory. The battle kept Confederate forces in Maryland and prevented the war from entering the Union states. This convinced Lincoln to issue his Emancipation Proclamation which freed slaves in Confederate states. The proclamation was symbolic more than it had any actual effect. It gave the bloody war a moral reason to continue the fight. From that point the war became about unifying the Union--a Union that would be without slavery.
