Answer:

Perimeter: 26 units

Area: 36 units

Step-by-step explanation:

EH = 4 units

HG = 9 units

GF = 4 units

FE = 9 units

Add them all up to find the perimeter

4 + 4 + 9 + 9 = 26

Then multiply the side by length to get the area

4 * 9 = 36

5/x^2-5x - x/5x-25 simplify
Debora [2.8K]
\bf \cfrac{5}{x^2-5x}-\cfrac{x}{5x-25}\implies \cfrac{5}{x(x-5)}-\cfrac{x}{5(x-5)}\impliedby \stackrel{LCD}{5x(x-5)}
\\\\\\
\cfrac{25-x^2}{5x(x-5)}\implies \cfrac{5^2-x^2}{5x(x-5)}\implies \cfrac{\stackrel{\textit{difference of squares}}{(5-x)(5+x)}}{5x(x-5)}
\\\\\\
\cfrac{\boxed{-\underline{(x-5)}}(5+x)}{5x\underline{(x-5)}}\implies \cfrac{-(5+x)}{5x}\implies \cfrac{-5-x}{5x}

State the factoring rule for difference of two squares a2-b2
ludmilkaskok [199]
<h3>Answer:  a^2 - b^2 = (a-b)(a+b)</h3>

The order of the factors does not matter.

So (a-b)(a+b) is the same as (a+b)(a-b)

This is known as the difference of squares factoring rule.

You can FOIL out (a-b)(a+b) and you'd get a^2+ab-ab-b^2. Note how the ab terms cancel leaving us with a^2-b^2. This confirms we have the correct factorization.
