30 candles=100%

30% of 100%= 9 candles out of 100 candles

after blowing out 30% of the candles, 9 should be left lit.

You can set up an proportion like this:

———- = ————
You can use this way for future questions.

On the left denominator/bottom, place 100, as for percents it will always be 100. On the right denominator, place 30/ the whole. On the right numerator/top, place an x, as the part is unknown. On the right numerator, place 30%/The percent.
You multiply across, then divide what’s left over.
1) multiply: 30 candles x 30 = 900
2) divide: 900/100= 9

After you blow 30% of your 39 candles, you will have 9 candles that are still lit.

Answer:

The third one is the answer

Building B; it is around 16.35 feet taller than building A

Look at the figure below: an image of a right triangle is shown with an angle labeled y If sin y° = a divided by 6 and tan y° = a divided by b, what is the value of cos y°?

cos y° = 6 divided by b cos y° = 6a cos

If sin f° = 8/9 and the measure of YW is 24 units, what is the measure of YX?

Simplify −2xy + 3x − 2xy + 3x

A. 4xy +6x B. 2xy C. −4xy + 6x D. 4xy − 6x
marysya [2.9K]
First you must combine like terms, the two terms I this expression are x, and xy. So by adding -2xy to -2xy you get -4xy. Next you must add 3x to 3x. This gives you the simplified expression -4xy+6x. Hope this helps

Urgent!!!!
LekaFEV [45]

Answer:

One pair of socks is $370.

Step-by-step explanation:

Sean bought three pairs of the same socks and a shoe polish for $1450. If the

polish cost $340, how much is the cost of one pair of socks.

6x - 340 = 1450

6x = 1450 -340

6x = 1110

2x = 1110 / 3

2x = 370
