<em><u>26.45 + 2.55 = 29 . . . but with correct sig figs . . . the answer is . . . 29.00 . . . i.e. [4] sig figs</u></em>

 . . . why? . . . because even though 26.45 has [4] sig figs & 2.55 has [3] sig figs, the number of sig figs to the right of the decimal are the critical sig figs . . . and there are [2] sig figs to the right of the decimal, so the answer/result can also beas precise as having [2] sig figs to the right of the decimal as well.

If a 1% level of significance is used to test a null hypothesis, there is a probability of __________ of rejecting the null hypo
USPshnik [31]

Answer:

If a 1% level of significance is used to test a null hypothesis, there is a probability of ____ less than 1%______ of rejecting the null hypothesis when it is true

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a hypothesis testing is done.

Level of significance used is 1%

i.e. alpha = 1%

When we do hypothesis test, we find out test statistic Z or t suitable for the test and find p value

If p value is < 1% we reject null hypothesis otherwise we accept null hypothesis.

So p value can be atmost 1% only for accepting null hypothesis.

So the answer is 1%

If a 1% level of significance is used to test a null hypothesis, there is a probability of ____less than 1%______ of rejecting the null hypothesis when it is true.

DerKrebs [107]

Answer:

The amount is sufficient to make 75 tarts.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given that a recipe for individual chocolate hazelnut tarts calls for ½ cup of hazelnuts per tart and 1 cup of hazelnuts weighs 4 ounces.

The half cup of hazelnuts will weigh 2 ounces (\frac{4}{2}=2).

1 kg equals 35.274 ounces.

\text{5 kg}=5\times 35.274\text{ ounces}

\text{5 kg}=176.37\text{ ounces}

Since each tart needs  ½ cup of hazelnuts and half cup of hazelnuts will weigh 2 ounces, so we will divide 176.37 ounces by 2 to find number of tarts.

\frac{176.37}{2}=88.185\approx 88

Since we can make 88 tarts from 5 kg hazelnuts, therefore, the 5-kilogram bag of hazelnuts be sufficient to make 75 tarts.

Answer:

  see below

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of a square is the square of the side length, as shown in the given table.

The area of a circle is pi (π) times the square of the radius. For a radius that is the same as the side length of a square, the circle will have an area π times as large.

For an input of 3, the square area function outputs 9.

For an input of 3, the circle area function outputs 9π, about 28.3.
