It is similar to determine the rate of a table and of a graph because the same formula is used to determine the rate.

Explanation:

1) In order to find the rate on a table, using the formula y2 - y1 / x2 - x1 that number would be the rate of both the table and the graph.

2) y2 represents the second y point and y1 represents the first y point, simply subtract and do the same with the x points.

3) On a graph, do the same thing. Locate the two points and using the formula in step one determine the rate.

4) The term rate is also commonly known as slope.
