All frogs start life as aquatic tadpoles, breathing underwater through internal gills and their skin. Then later most develop into land animals with lungs for breathing air. But in all stages breathing is controlled by pulsing the throat. Most frogs loose their gills when they metaorphise.

sweet [91]
The answer is A. In a monopoly is only one provider of a certain resource or service that the public needs. In this kind of situation that provider gains access to majority of the profits generated. Competition is eliminated since he controls that particular good or service that consumers demand so much of. The stronger the demand for that good, the more profits that provider makes. These days there are laws against monopoly. In fair market economy, there should be competitors in providing goods and services. This way, consumers can choose from whom they purchase these goods from.

How did the Supreme Court case's ruling in Plessy v. Ferguson affect the lives of African Americans?
Airida [17]

On May 18th in 1886, the Supreme Court of the United States issued a landmark decision that upheld the constitutionality of racial segregation in the country, under the doctrine known as "separate but equal". The case began when Homer Plessy, an African-american citizen refused to sit in a car for blacks when he was riding the bus. The Court stated that the law that stated racial segregation in the country, was not unconstitutional. As a result of the Supreme Court's decision, public accommodation segregation based on race became a common thing everywhere in the country, even increasing in some areas, specifically in the South. This decision affected the lives of all African-Americans, who watched with horror how the government was ruling in favor of those who wanted to discriminate them.
