Remark

You have to do a couple of preliminary calculations before you can find the areas.

For example, how wide is the hallway and how long is it?

Step One

Find the length and Width of the Hallway going left to right.

Length of the Hallway = Width of the House - The width of the bedroom.

Length of the Hallway = 40' - 15' = 25'

Width of the Hallway = Width of the bedroom - Width of the kitchen

Width of the Hallway = 15' - 10' = 5'

Step Two

Find the dimensions to the hallway going up and down.

The length is just read from the diagram. It is 12'.

The width = The Length of the left right hallway - width of the TV room - width of the balcony

The width = 25 - 13 - 5

Step Three

Find the long base of drawing room. It is the same as the left, right hallway = 25'

Step Four

Find the area of the rooms.

Kitchen = L * W = 25 * 10 = 250 sq. Feet

Bedroom = s*s = 15 * 15 = 225 sq. Feet

left Right hallway = L*W = 25 * (15 - 10) = 25 * 5 = 125 sq. feet

Up Down Hallway = L*W = 12 * 7 = 84 square feet.

Total Hallway = 209 square feet.

TV Room = L*W = 12 * 13 = 156 square feet.

Drawing Room

Trapezoid 1

b1 = 13 + 7 = 20 feet

b2 = 25 feet Same as the left/right hallway.

h = 5 feet

Area = (b1 + b2)*h/2

Area = (20 + 25)*5/2 = 112.5 sqr feet.

Balcony

Trapezoid 2

b1 = 12 feet

b2 = 12 + 8 = 20

h = 5 feet

Area = (b1 + b2)*h/2 = (12 + 20)*5/2 = 80 square feet.

Note

I have found all the areas. Now you can arrange them and put them in order.

Use linear approximation to estimate f (2.85 )given that f (3 )equals 2 and f prime (3 )equals 5.
Allisa [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

f(3) = 2

f'(3) = 5.

We want to estimate f(2.85)

The linear approximation of "f" at "a" is one way of writing the equation of the tangent line at "a".

At x = a, y = f(a) and the slope of the tangent line is f'(a).

So, in point slope form, the tangent line has equation

y − f(a) = f'(a)(x − a)

The linearization solves for y by adding f(a) to both sides

f(x) = f(a) + f'(a)(x − a).

Given that,

f(3) = 2,

f'(3) = 5

a = 3, we want to find f(2.85)

x = 2.85

Therefore,

f(x) = f(a) + f'(a)(x − a)

f(2.85) = 2 + 5(2.85 - 3)

f(2.85) = 2 + 5×-0.15

f(2.85) = 2 - 0.75

f(2.85) = 1.25

A solid has 12 faces and 18 edges how many vertices does it have
frutty [35]

Answer:

8 vertices

Step-by-step explanation:

Use Euler's Theorem: V-E+F=2

F=12

E=18

Thus, we have:

V-18+12=2

V-18=-10

V=8

So there are 8 vertices
