The major difference between the two is that nursing process gathers the data first then identifies the problem whereas, in the scientific method, the problem is identified first then the data is gathered.

Explanation:

The nursing process is the method that is used to systemmatically identify the client's status of health. This process is helpful for nurses to provide a better health facility to the client. It is a five steps process which begins with by first collecting the data of health care status of the client then the diagnosis the problem.

The scientific method, on the other hand, is a method used for the observation and experimenting. It a problem-solving approach which follows six steps to experimenting. The steps begins with making an observation or identifying the problem and then data collecting procedure is followed.

Thus the major difference between the two methods is nursing process first collects the data then make an observation while scientific method first makes an observation the collects the data.
