Explanation:

Tom introduces Nick to his mistress Myrtle. Later the three of them go to Myrtle’s apartment in Manhattan. After that they are joined by Mirtle’s sister and other people who arrive to the apartment. They end up having a party and getting drunk. Tom hits Myrtle on her face when she brings up Daisy. The next day in the morning Nick wakes up at a train station.
