3D microscope is different because it has a zooming lens, like other camera's, but also have a 3D lens that other camera's usually don't have.
I hope this helps.

Photographs taken with 3-D microscope has more minute details, which naked eye cannot see i.e microorganisms as compared to regular camera, which is used to capture pictures of events or anything as they are in the normal world. They are both similar when it comes to capturing any thing because purpose of both these imaging technologies is to capture in the form of images. Photographs taken with 3-D microscope often serves the purpose of study and research like study of viruses is based on photographs taken from microscope while regular camera is used to cover an event and photos taken from normal camera can be used by journalists, to report an event.

Further Explanation:

⦁ Traditional microscopes, also called as optical microscopes, are commonly used to magnify small objects whereas, a digital microscope is a microscope that is made up of a tiny digital camera (CMOS) and can be wired to a computer. The images taken with the microscope's eyepiece can be displayed on the computer's monitor and can be saved on the hard drive as an image (in required formats) or as video, or time lapse video.

⦁ A regular can also provides the facility of saving images on computer hard drive similar to 3-D microscope but with low resolution as compared to 3-D microscope. Photos taken with 3-D microscope are of high quality images, It uses lenses to magnify the objects so that it can be seen through the naked eye but regular camera cannot provide such features normally.

⦁ Electron microscope is a type of powerful 3-D microscope used for the study of sub atomic particles.

⦁ These 3-D microscopes are used by biologists, scientists and researchers for the purpose of studying and exploring while regular cameras are used in every day life events and for photography of events around us.
