Graph y = -2x +3 and its inverse.
Gnesinka [82]
The graph of y = -2x + 3 is a straight line

Its slope is - 2

Its y-intercept is + 3

To draw the line you can use these two points (0,3) and (3/2 , 0)

This line does ont pass through the third quadrant. It comes downward from the second quadrant, touches the y-axis at y =3, continues on the rirst quadrant, touches the x-axis at x = 3/2, and contiues into the fourth quadrant.

Graph of its inverse

Exchange y and x in the given function and solve for the new y

x = - 2y + 3 => y = - x/2 + 3/2

It is also a straight line;
Its slope is -1/2
Its y-intercept is 3/2

It is also in the second, first and fourth quadrant

Use these two points to draw the line (0,3/2) and (3,0).

You do not need to know to draw this, but the inverse of a function is its reflection through the line y =x.

A scientist discovers a new plant. After investigating its properties, the scientist concludes that the plant does
gayaneshka [121]

non-photosynthetic plants are not common in nature, they do not have a green color, to be able to answer the question we must know that .......

<h3>General characteristics of plants</h3>

Plants are classified as autotrophic organisms, since the large one is capable of photosynthesis. With the exception of plants, some achlor species being observed, therefore, not achlorizing plants.

<h3>Chloroplast</h3>

Chloroplast, a structure within the cells of plants and green algae that is the site of photosynthesis, the process by which light energy is converted to chemical energy, resulting in the production of oxygen and energy-rich organic compounds.

<h3>It happened in real life</h3>

The newly discovered plant — named <em>Gastrodia kuroshimensis </em>— occurs in the dark understory of forests, where little light penetrates. So instead of using sunlight or photosynthesis to generate nutrients, the plant parasitizes the fungi in the forest soil for its daily dose of nutrition.

With this information we can say that the correct alternative is<u> B</u>. where it states that there are no chloroplasts in the plant cells.

  • B. There are no chloroplasts in the plant's cells.

<u>These </u><u>plants</u><u> that do </u><u>not photosynthesize</u><u> do not have the green </u><u>pigment</u><u>, what gives the </u><u>plants</u><u> their </u><u>green color</u><u> is the </u><u>chlorophyll</u><u> that is in the </u><u>chloroplast.</u>

Why would a fish with faulty valves in its conus arteriosus probably suffer from a lack of energy?
d1i1m1o1n [39]

A faulty conus arteriosus  would compromise on an effective gaseous exchange that keeps the blood of the fish oxygenated for respiration of tissues. The conus arteriosus is one of two accessory chambers found in most fish with two-chambered hearts. The primary function of the conus arteriosus is to prevent the backflow of blood and keep a steady flow of blood into the ventral aorta and the gills.
