What does the author use to control the pacing of a story?
Sliva [168]
<span>Your correct answer is: B. </span><span>Sentence structure and how quickly events unfold in a story

</span>Reason? The pace is the speed of how things go, (how fast you walk, how fast a paper airplane goes by, etc.) and when writing, a slow pace is what you need. You have to make sure a story isn't rushed so you could keep the reading audience hooked. (Just make sure it's not to slow, or they'll become bored and stop reading.) Overall the reader should enjoy the pace, and should feel comfortable with it. This is what gets the reader wanting to know more information, and gets them hooked onto the events/actions that is taking place in the story. Your readers must comprehend what had happened/is happening so far before forced to understand the next part, and if the writer has accomplished this skill, they've done a great job in making your content excellent, and enjoyable to read.

<span>Good luck with your studies, I hope this helps~!  </span>

How does Ryan feel immediately after Angela tags him and makes him ‘It', but before he starts running? Support your answer with
mina [271]

Answer:

After being tagged by Angela, Ryan freezes. He is surprised and a bit scared.

Explanation:

"Tag--I'm It!" is a story by W.M. Akers . Ryan is a boy who pretends to be a commentator while the other kids play tag on the playground. The truth is that Ryan would rather be playing with the others, but the kids do not want him to play. They never chase him nor run from him. So, he found his own way of participating, which is by narrating the game.

<u>However, this time there is new girl playing. Angela does not know the other kids usually leave Ryan out. She sees him narrating the game, interrupts him, and tags him. Ryan freezes, though. He does not know what to do now that he is finally "it" after such a long time of not playing. He wonders if the other kids will actually play with him this time:</u>

<em>Ryan froze. He hadn't been 'It' for a long time. He didn't know what to do. The rest of the  players stopped, too, and stared at him. If he moved, would they move too? Or would they  stand there, waiting for him to quit embarrassing himself and get off the playground? </em>

In the end, he chases Angela and ends up having a lot of fun.

liraira [26]

Answer: Dear  diary ,

My mum died in my arms.We were in Africa as my mum's dream was to see wild animals and it went wrong horribly wrong.

It all started when we arrived at the savanna. It was feeding time 'the best time to visit'.We were allowed to feed the animals as long as we didn't annoy them.Someone nudged mum and she fell out the window and next to a lion who hadn't had anything to eat.The lion went away once it had impaled mum with it's sharp teeth and claws.I ran out and screamed at the rest of the tourists but everyone just stood there doing nothing. Then an hour later mum was declared dead.
