Answer:

a. cross-beds

Explanation:

Lithified sand dunes are formed when marine, or in this case, aeolian sand dunes become compacted or hardened. Deposition of minerals on these hardened surfaces creates layers on inclined surfaces. These layers get stacked over time, which creates interesting patterns and, as this stacking occurs on tilted surfaces, they form cross patterns. This entire process is called cross-bedding.

Ripple marks are almost uniform patterns usually forming in one direction and plane, which cannot form cross-patterns.

Mud cracks form when a muddy sediment dries up, leaving  almost hexagonal cracks behind, a very different type of pattern.

Graded beds are the systematic change in grain size, usually arranging with coarses sediments at the base, and progressively finer grains at the surface. This also cannot form cross patterns.

What is the problem with exporting large amounts of Central American agricultural products?
Gekata [30.6K]

The correct answer is - B. The countries cannot produce enough food to feed their own people.

The countries of Central America do not have sufficient amount of arable land for agriculture to produce for themselves, and also to export, especially not to be exporting on a large scale. Despite this, the large landowners that control most of the arable land, are exporting most of the products to other countries. They do this for getting bigger profit, even though the people in the countries don't have sufficient food for eating, they don't really care because they have enough money to have enough food on the table, while the ordinary citizen suffers from malnutrition.

3. The greenhouse effect is driven by the fact that greenhouse gases are:
DanielleElmas [232]

Answer:

The best answer to the question: The greenhouse effect is driven by the fact that greenhouse gases are:___, would be: Good absorbers of radiation at all wavelengths.

Explanation:

Under normal circumstances, the Earth receives energy from the sun and also produces a bit of its own energy. The energy that arrives from the sun is usually known as shortwave radiation, while the energy that is both absorbed by the Earth´s atmosphere, and the energy produced by Earth itself, becomes part of what is known as the longwave radiation. Greenhouse gases, like water vapor, carbon dioxide and methane trap both longwave and shortwave radiation, which should usually be expelled to a certain extent towards space, and maintain them trapped inside the atmosphere. This bouncing effect between the shield created by the gases and the lower atmosphere, should normally be controlled by the amount of atoms of gases in the higher atmosphere. However, in the greenhouse effect, what is happening is that the amount of gases is too high, and therefore they are trapping most of the radiation, both longwave and shortwave, and keeping it in, allowing the climate to warm up.
