Question

So I've got an issue with my laptop keyboard. When I hold shift and click the following keys: Backspace Tab t y [ ] \ a s d f j k l ; none of them work. But if I hold shift, hold any one of those keys, then let go of shift while still holding the other key, it puts the capital letter/alternate symbol. Is there a way to fix this or is my keyboard shot? Please help, I've had to deal with this for far too long.

I would have said it was a glitch if it has been going on for only a few hours but since it is a thing that has been going on for a while a believe it might be an issue with the internal wiring so I would bring it to the nearest repair place like Best buy, apple (if mac), windows (if wondows), etc...
