Man factoring trinomials can be a pain

since the first coefficient for 2 of them is greater than one u can do the decomposition method
the middle one is straight forward do the diamond method and u get 2 answers
find what multiplies to 15 and adds to 8 and those 2 numbers are your answers

Find the area of the figure in the image attached. Round to the nearest tenth if necessary.
tatyana61 [14]

Answer: 15in^2

Step-by-step explanation:

first you need to find the area of the rectangle, so you would multiply 7 and 3, which gives you 21, (A=L•W). So now you need to find the area of the triangles, the formula for that is A= 1/2 b•h, so you get 3in for the area of the triangle, but since there are two and they are the exact same triangle you would just combine them, so the area for both triangles is 6in, so then you would need to subtract the 6 from the 21 so that you can find the area of the shape, and your final answer would be 15in(squared). hopefully you understand

A four-sided figure with a perimeter of 120 cm has a width which is 30cm less than twice it’s length. What kind of quadrilateral
garri49 [273]

Answer:

Find the perimeter of the quadrilateral with sides 5 cm, 7 cm, 9 cm and 11 cm.

Solution:

The formula to find the perimeter of the quadrilateral = sum of the length of all the four sides.

Here the lengths of all the four sides are 5 cm, 7 cm, 9 cm and 11 cm.

Therefore, perimeter of quadrilateral = 5 cm + 7 cm + 9 cm + 11 cm

= 32 cm

2. The perimeter of the quadrilateral is 50 cm and the lengths of three sides are 9 cm, 13 cm and 17 cm. Find the missing side of the quadrilateral.

Solution:

Let the missing side of the quadrilateral = x

Perimeter of the quadrilateral = 50 cm

A parallelogram has vertex at (-5 , -1) (-2, -1), (-3,-4), and (-6,-4). What is the approximate perimeter of the parallelogram r
Gre4nikov [31]

Answer:

12.4 units

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to find the length of the sides of the parallelogram which is calculated using the formula for Distance

= √(x2 - x1)² + (y2 - y1)² where we are given the vertices (x1, y1) and (x2, y2)

For side A

(-5 , -1) (-2, -1)

= √(-2 -(-5))² + (-1 - (-1))²

= √(-2 + 5)² + (-1 + 1)²

= √3² + 0

= √9

= 3 units

For side B

(-2, -1), (-3,-4)

= √(-3 -(-2))² + (-4 -(-1))²

= √(-3 + 2)²+ (-4 + 1)²

= √-1² + -3²

= √1 + 9

= √10 units

= 3.1622776602 units

Approximately = 3.2 units

For side C

(-3,-4), (-6,-4).

= √(-6 -(-3))² + (-4 - (-4))²

= √(-6 + 3)² + (-4 + 4)²

= √-3² + 0²

= √9

= 3 units

For side D

(-5 , -1), (-6,-4)

= √(-6 - (-5))² + (-4 - (-1))²

= √(-6 + 5)² + (-4 + 1)²

= √-1² + -3²

= √1 + 9

= √10 units

= 3.1622776602 units

Approximately = 3.2 units

From the above calculation , we can see that,

side A = side C

side B = side D

The formula for the Perimeter of a Parallelogram is = 2(Side a + Side b)

= 2(3 + 3.2) units

= 2(6.2) units

= 12.4 units

ELEN [110]
$7.9 cost of one pack
10 packs cost is $79
She pays $29 + Voucher

From the total $79 we substract the $29 she paid with cash or card.

79-29=50

So the value of the voucher is $50
