Martin Luther King Jr. moved to Montgomery, Alabama with his wife Coretta in 1953.

Soon after Martin Luther King Jr. got married to Coretta Scott King in June of 1953, they shifted to Montgomery in Alabama. They got married home in Morion at the Scott, Alabama where Coretta Scott King used to live before they both got married.

Almost 16 months after their marriage, Martin Luther King Jr. became the minister of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church, Montgomery.
