Answer: The lather was drying on his face. I must hurry. Through the mirror, I took a look at the street.

The pace of a narrative is the speed at which a story is told. It depends on the length of the events and how fast the action moves. In a fast-paced narration, the reader is provided with information more quickly.

In this case, excerpt 2 tells us the details of how the man waited for the lather. In excerpt 3, we find out how the man slowly got ready to sit down. Excerpt 4 details how the man moved the chair. They are all slow descrrptions. On the other hand, excerpt 1 tells us that the man is in a hurry, that the lather was drying and that the narrator looked out the window, all in a short space of time.

In analyzing the figurative and connotative languages which ways do you decide they are alike?
Lyrx [107]

Figurative language uses figures of speech to provide more complex and intensified meaning to the subjects it describes. Connotative language uses cultural or emotional references that are shared and understood by a group of people sharing the same cultural markers in order describe the subject of such language and associate a positive or negative perception of it.

They are similar in that they both avoid using direct explicit, literal language to describe the subjects they are referring to and prefer to use oblique references to it.

Explanation:

Though the healthy philodendron is placed in the dark, it has access to light since plan can store energy in the form of sugars or starch. In dark milieu, the plan can be able to derive energy from the stored molecules of sugars or starch. Philodendron, therefore, remains healthy during the vacation even if it is kept in dark.
