Emily Dickinson, a nineteenth century poet is known for short, tightly constructed stanzas.

Option - C

Explanation:

Born in Massachusetts, New England, Emily had strong ties to her family community. She always lived in solitude and was known for unusual life of self-imposed social isolation and seclusion. All her poetry pieces fall into 3 distinct periods namely,

 • Pre-1861 - often sentimental and conventional in nature.
 • 1861–1865 - her poems during this time represented her creative and vigorous work
 • Post-1866 - \frac{2}{3}^{rd} of her poems were created during this time.

Many of her poems typically lack titles, had short lines and used slant rhyme and also had unconventional capitalization and punctuation. Subsequent poems are usually edited to conform to poetic conventional rules.
