Niels Bohr proposed a theory for the hydrogen atom based on quantum theory that energy is transferred only in certain well defined quantities. Electrons should move around the nucleus but only in prescribed orbits. When jumping from one orbit to another with lower energy, a light quantum is emitted. If you see a bear, normally a person would run (fight, flight, or freeze) or we would do whatever comes to instinct, right? No, don't do that. You need to stand your ground and DO NOT MAKE EYE CONTACT OR YOU WILL FIGHT FOR YOUR LIFE. You need to face the bear, look directly at it, make yourself look the biggest you possibly can and use any available weapon: hiking stick, knife, bear spray, etc. A scout would know all of this in a heartbeat. I would know because I used to be a girl scout.
Hope this helps!
