Question: How does Dr.King show awareness of and respect for his intended audience of clergymen?
Rama09 [41]

1. Answer:

Dr. King shows respect and optimistic approach towards the Church. He does not resolve to arguments limiting his moral virtues. He tires to explain his narrative to different religious organizations by reminding them of their responsibility. He specially talks about Christian Church.

He also rebukes over the behavior of clergy men and reminds them how they are compromising their Christian mission. He makes several arguments by explaining to them how early Christians risked their lives and made the world a better place to live in.

He also warns the Church that one day they will be held accountable for not taking any actions against such brutality.

2. Answer:

Martin Luther King is Dr King in Birmingham Jail. He was in Birmingham to protest against the cruel practices and behaviors adopted towards the black people.

The court of that time had asked Martin Luther King along with other people not to protest.

Birmingham was a tough place for black people to live in hence they protested against it and were sent to jail for not obeying the orders of the court.

3. Answer:

This revolutionary letter was written by Martin Luther King. He wrote this letter to generate awareness about the crimes committed by white people in regards to the black people of the society.

He wanted to show support to non-violent resistance exhibited by his fellow black men.

He wanted to consolidate with them and remind others of the repercussion of such injustices.

He also explained how at times it is necessary to break unjust laws for the betterment of society.

4. Answer:

He used emancipation and proclamation in his letter. Due to Martin Luther King's efforts, he was highly appreciated by the audience hence this gave him a slight edge to convey his message, without any hindrance to the general public.

murzikaleks [220]

The correct answer is option letter B (logos). Taken from the United States Declaration of Independence (1776) written by Thomas Jefferson, the excerpt presented above is an example of the use of logos, a literary device that can be an argument or a statement used to convince or persuade the targeted audience. These lines are part of the second part of the Declaration of Independence and here the author explains to the audience why the colonies wanted to separate and all the transgressions the British government made against the colonists.

What are the five principal steps to analyzing an argument ?
Degger [83]
In the very, very simplest terms, judging the validity of an argument starts centers around this process:
1) Identify the rhetoric (Lines of Argument) from the actual, formal reasons. Separate the persuasive language from the actual claims to truth and fact.
2) Analyze those reasons (claims to truth and fact) by identifying their logic (often in the Implicit Reasons) and evidence.
3) Test and evaluate the logic and evidence; identify logical errors and ask whether the evidence can and has been tested and objectively, repeatedly, factually verified.
