see the picture in the attached figure

step 1

find the area of rectangle

A=110*43

A=4730 yd²

step 2

find the area of semicircles

we know that two semicircles is equal to one circle

so

Area of the circle=pi*r²

r=43/2

r=21.5 yd

A=pi*21.5²

A=462.25 *pi yd²-------->1,451.465 yd²

total area=area rectangle + area of circle

total area=4,730+1,451.465---------> 6,181.465 yd²

step 3

find the cost

$0.12 per square yard

6,181.465*0.12=$741.78

therefore

the answer is

$741.78

X + 2y = 200<br> x = y + 50
Simora [160]

Answer:

x = 100

y = 50

Step-by-step explanation:

if x = y + 50,

putting the value of x in first equation we get,

  • x + 2y = 200
  • y + 50 + 2y = 200
  • 3y = 200 - 50
  • y = 150 / 3
  • y = 50

putting the value of y in second equation,

  • x = y + 50
  • x = 50 + 50
  • x = 100

the length of a rectangle garden is 8 feet longer than its width. if the gardens perimeter is 196 feet what is the area of the g
Mumz [18]
1) width = x
length = x + 8
perimeter = 2 (length + width)
196 = 2 * (x+8+x)
196 = 2* (2x+8)
196 = 4x + 16
180 = 4x
x = 45 (thats width)

2) length would be 45+8=53

3) area = length times width = 45 * 53 = 2385 square feet

Marcus earns $8.40 per hour. He works for 26 hours each week, 48 weeks each year. If he earns over $10,000, then Marcus has to p
MAVERICK [17]

We have been given that Marcus works for 26 hours each week and 48 weeks each year.

Thus in a year he works for 26 \times 48 = 1248 hours.

Now, we have been given that Marcus earns $8.40 per hour.

Therefore, in 1248 hours, he earns

1248 \times 8.40\\&#10;\\&#10;=\$ 10483.2

Marcus has to pay tax if he earns more than $10,000. Now we have calculated that he earns $ 10483.2  which is higher than $10,000.

Therefore, Marcus has to to pat tax.
