One of the reasons for this position was the fact that safety was a big concern for the colony. Secondly, Georgians were concerned with trade, as both England and the West Indies were consumers of Georgian products. Nevertheless, Georgia eventually saw itself involved in the war, gaining its independence along with the other colonies.
