What values of x satisfy the inequality 4x+2>10?

Mathematics

It could be 4 times 3, 4 times 4, 4 times 5, and so on.
So basically, its anything but 1 and 2, because 4 times 1 = 4 + 2 = 8 < 10.
4 times 2 = 8 + 2 = 10 = 10. So yeah.
Also, if you give me the brainliest answer I will level up! Please think about it. :)
Hope this helps.

What is a equation of the line that is parallel to y=-5×+6 and passes through the point (-4,-1)
spin [16.1K]

The equation of the line that is parallel to y = -5x + 6 and passes through the point (-4, -1) in slope intercept form is y = -5x -21

Solution:

Given that line passes through the point (-4, -1) and parallel to y = -5x + 6

We have to find the equation of line

Let us first calculate the slope of line having equation as y = -5x + 6

The slope intercept form of line is given as:

y = mx + c ---- eqn 1

where "m" is the slope of line and "c" is the y-intercept

Comparing the given equation of line y = -5x + 6 with slope intercept form y = mx + c,

we get the slope of line "m" = -5

We know that slope of two given parallel lines are always equal

Hence the slope of line which is parallel to line with equation y = -5x + 6 is also -5

Now we have to find the equation of line passing through point (-4, -1) with slope -5

Substitute (x, y) = (-4, -1) and m = -5 in eqn 1 to find "c" intercept

-1 = -5(-4) + c

-1 = 20 + c

c = -21

Substitute c = -21 and m = -5 in eqn 1 to get the equation of line

y = -5x + (-21)

y = -5x -21

Thus the equation of required line is found out as y = -5x -21

If sin o = 2/3 and tan < 0 what is the valuse of cos 0
kipiarov [429]

Answer:

-(√5)/3

Step-by-step explanation:

The tangent being negative means the sine and cosine have opposite signs. Using the identity ...

cos(o) = ±√(1 -sin(o)^2)

we find ...

cos(o) = -√(1 -(2/3)^2) = -√(5/9)

cos(o) = -(√5)/3

Which best describes the relationship between the line that passes through the points (6, -1) and (11, 2) and the line that pass
tia_tia [17]

Answer:

D. Neither perpendicular nor parallel

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's find the slope (m) of both lines:

✔️Slope (m) of the line that passes through (6, -1) and (11, 2):

Slope (m) = change in y/change in x

Slope (m) = (2 -(-1))/(11 - 6) = 3/5

✔️Slope (m) of the line that passes through (5, -7) and (8, -2)

Slope (m) = change in y/change in x

Slope (m) = (-2 -(-7))/(8 - 5) = 5/3

✅The slope of both lines are not the same, therefore they are not parallel nor same line.

Also, the slope of one is not the negative reciprocal of the other, therefore they are not perpendicular.

3(m + 2) – 7 m = 18
PLEASE SHOW HOW YOU GOT THE ANSWER:)
Anton [14]
3(m + 2) - 7m = 18
= 3m + 6 - 7m = 18
= 3m - 7m = 18 - 6
= -4m = 12
= m = -12/4
m = -3

In short, Your Answer would be -3

Hope this helps!
