Napoleon, was a French military leader and emperor who prevailed much of Europe within the early 19th century. Napoleon quickly rose through the positions of the military amid the French Revolution (1789-1799). After seizing political control in France in a 1799 coup d’état, he delegated himself sovereign in 1804. Napoleon effectively pursued war against different coalitions of European countries and extended his realm.

The US Constitution does not specificity that the US Supreme Court justices have a lifetime appointment. It only states that federal judges “shall hold their Offices during good behavior” but it does not set a specific term or age limit service. In practice, as long as a federal judge does not commit a crime he/she will keep their seat.
