Copernicus gave heliocentric theory which changed the view about the solar system people had till that time.

Explanation:

Nicolaus Copernicus is known to have given the heliocentric theory about the solar system. This theory formulated that the Earth revolves around the Sun. It also comes up with the fact of rotation of Earth around its own axis.

Before the ideology of Copernicus came into being, Ptolemy gave his ideology and all the people believed in it truly as it said that the Earth is in the center of all the planetary object and every planet revolves around it. This theory came to an end by the Copernicus findings.
