Number 2 is wrong because it says NO more than so it would be the opposite of a more than sign. So it should be a less than or equal to sign.
The same goes for number 4.
Number 5 is wrong as well because since it is the maximum then it cannot be higher than 8, so there so be a less than or equal to sign.

W (n) = n^2-n find w (-3)
Papessa [141]

Answer:

w(-3) = 12

Step-by-step explanation:

Plug in -3 for n in the equation:

w(n) = n^2 - n

w(-3) = (-3)^{2} - (-3)

Simplify. Remember to follow PEMDAS. First, solve the power:

w (-3) = (-3)^2 - (-3)\\w (-3) = (-3 * -3) - (-3)\\w (-3) = (9) - (-3)

Next, combine like terms. Note that if there are two negative signs directly next to each other, it becomes a positive sign. Add:

w(-3) = 9 - (-3)\\w(-3) = 9 + 3\\w(-3) = 12

Your answer: w(-3) = 12
