Answer:

The correct answer is that: informants are difficult to control and the police can not trust in them always.

Explanation:

To begin with, if the police officer finds out that the informant went behind his back and purchase drug then the officer must understand that the informant is not trustful and moreover he could mean a risk to the whole undercover operation that the police officer is managing, therefore that the scenario is propounding that situations like that exemplify that informants can not be trusted due to the fact that they are ex convicted and that is why the officers have to be carefull when working with them.

Answer:

informants are difficult to control

Explanation:

Some police departments rely heavily on informants when they are trying to bust drug dealers, the problem is that informant use is not regulated. Three Supreme Court decisions basically allow police officers to use informants freely (Hoffa v. United States, Lewis v. United States, and Osborn v. United States). What makes things worse is that the FBI has a clear guideline related to confidential informants, but every state government has its own and they are generally much looser.

A common police mistake is trusting excessively former drug dealers or users, which has resulted in ways to get back at former "friends/enemies" and competition. The fight against drugs is very complicated and informants sometimes have too much to gain and nothing to lose. Informants put the lives of police officers and alleged criminals on risk, and until some type of regulation can make them accountable for their deliberately wrongful collaborations, the problem will remain.

V125BC [204]

Answer:

A. $279,000

B. $27,900

Explanation:

A. Calculation for 2021 depletion of the timber tract

2021 Depletion=[($3,510,000 - $720,000) / 6.2 million] *$620,000

2021 Depletion=0.45x 620,000

2021 Depletion= $279,000

Therefore 2021 depletion of the timber tract is $279,000

B. Calculation to determine the depreciation of the logging roads

Depreciation=($279,000 / 6.2 million)*$620,000 Depreciation= 0.073*$620,000

Depreciation= $27,900

Therefore the depreciation of the logging roads is $27,900

Aleks [24]

Answer:

a. $9,338

b. 0.363

Explanation:

a. Contribution Margin = Sales - Variable Cost

Where Sales = $25,700

Variable Cost = Food & Packaging + Payroll + 40% x General, Selling and Administrative expenses

V.C. = 8,982 + 6,500 + 40% * 3,700

V.C = 8,982 + 6,500 + 1,480

= $16,362

Therefore, Contribution Margin = Sales - Variable Cost

= $25,700 - $16,362

=$9,338

b. McDonald's contribution margin ratio = Contribution Margin / Sales

= $9,338 / $25,700

= 0.363

Sussman Co. prepared cash-basis financial statements for the month ended January 31. A summary of Sussman's January activities f
coldgirl [10]

Answer:

An increase of $2,500

Explanation:

During cash-basis accounting method, all income and expenses that results to ACTUAL CASH INFLOW and OUTFLOW will be recorded. Thus, those income and expenses that applies for the period will not be recorded yet as long as there is no actual cash outflow. And all income made on account for the period will not be recognized unless there is an actual collection. Based on the stated facts, Sussman Co.,recorded $1,900 sales instead of the actual sales of $5,600 using accrual basis and has never been recorded the expenses incurred in the accrued salaries.

So, $5,600 less $1,900 cash collection which already have recorded on cash basis method, there will be an additional sales to be recorded at $3,700 less the salaries expense already incurred but not yet paid of $1,200. There will be an additional income of $2,500 after restatement.
