Answer:

P for the big rectangle is 12 meters and for the small one is 5 meters

Step-by-step explanation:

BIG 2(4x-5)+2(3x-1)

8x-10+6x-2

14x-12

Small 2(x)+2(x+1)

2x+2x+2

4x+2

Find x and plug in the values to find P

P for Big 14x-12

P for small 4x+2

Solve for x

Big = 2 meters > twice the P of the small rectangle

2 times (4x+2) +2 meters

2(4x+2)+2

distribute

2*4x=8x and 2*2=4 so 8x+4+2

8x+6

8x/8 + 6/8

x=6/8 or simplest form x=3/4

I changed x from a fraction to a decimal for easier multiplication, so x=.75

Find the P for the small rectangle by plugging in the value of X

small P=4(.75)+2

P for the small rectangle is = 5 meters

BIG rectangle

2(4x+2)+2

2(4*.75+2)+2

2*(3+2)+2

2(5)+2

10+2

P=12

P for the BIG rectangle is = 12 meters

P for the small rectangle is = 5 meters

Marizza181 [45]

Step-by-step explanation:

The expression for he earning of Allison and her allowance is as follows :

15x+100y

Part A

Variables are x and y. Coefficients are 15 and 100.

Part (B)

There are two terms in this expression. + is used to separate the terms. 15x and 100y are the terms.

Part (C) As $15 shows her earning from allowances. Hence, 15x shows allowance.
