It costs $15 to get into the fair and then costs $8 for every ride I go on. I spent a total of $79. Write an equation and solve

Let x = the number of ride you went on

$79 = $15 + $8x

To solve for how many rides you went on, subtract 15 from each side.

$64 = $8x. Divide each side by 8.

8 = x.

You went on 8 rides
