You would do the inside first so first you would do (8-3)x2 which would give u 10 then you would do (5x6)-5 which is 25 after tht u would add 25+10 which =35 after tht u would do 35/5 and u would get 7

Runner A is initially 6.0 km west of a flagpole and is running with a constant velocity of 3.0 km/h due east. Runner B is initia
ArbitrLikvidat [17]

Answer:

The distance of the two runners from the flagpole is 0.0882 km

Step-by-step explanation:

We are going to use the minus sign when the runner is on the west and the plus sign when the runner is on the east.

Then, Taking into account  the runner A is 6 km west and is running with a constant velocity of 3 Km/h east, the distance of the runner A from the flagpole is given by the following equation:

Xa = -6 Km + (3 Km/h)* t

Where Xa is the position of the runner A from the flagpole and t is the time in hours.

At the same way the distance of the runner B, Xb, from the flagpole is given by the following equation:

Xb = 7.4 Km - (3.8 Km/h)*t

Then, the two runners cross their path when Xa is equal to Xb, so if we solve this equation for t, we get:

              Xa = Xb

     -6 + (3*t) =  7.4 - (3.8*t)

(3.8*t) + (3*t) = 7.4 + 6

         (6.8*t) = 13.4

                  t = 13.4/6.8

                  t = 1.9706

Therefore, at time t equal to 1.9706 hours, both runners cross their path. The distance of the two runners from the flagpole can be calculated replacing the value of t in equation for Xa or in equation for Xb as:

Xa = -6 Km + (3 Km/h)* t

Xa = -6 Km + (3 Km/h)*(1.9706 h)

Xa = -0.0882 Km

That means that both runners are 0.0882 Km west of a flagpole.

HELPP WORTH 30 points!!
yuradex [85]

Step-by-step explanation:

11pi/6 in radians.

pi = 180°

so,

pi/6 = 180/6 = 30°.

11pi/6 = 11×pi/6 = 11×30 = 330° or -30°.

the reference angle is the smallest (measured in absolute values) angle to the horizontal (x) axis.

so, that is then 30°.

so, which statements are true, and which are false ?

1.

sin(330°) = -1/2, because the angle is in the 4th quadrant and therefore below the x-axis, which makes the sine values negative.

sin(reference angle = 30°) would be +1/2, but that was not the statement.

so, this statement is false.

2.

the reference angle is 60°.

since we can see that it is actually 30°, this statement is false.

3.

the reference angle is 30°.

yes, that is true.

4.

cos(330°) = sqrt(3)/2.

yes, that is true.

this cosine is on the right side of the y-axis and therefore positive.

5.

tan(330°) = 1.

as tangent = sine/cosine, to be equal to 1 means that sine = cosine. which is not the case here.

this statement is false.

6.

the reference angle is 45°.

no, as 3. had shown, it is 30°.

so, this statement is false.

mode-60
to find the median you arrange the values from the lowest to highest value, then you find the MIDDLE number.. if theres two in the middle add them and divide by two.
the mode is the Q3 - Q1 (70-60)

An iron ball is bobbing up and down on the end of a spring. The maximum height of the ball is 46 inches and its minimum height i
LenKa [72]

Answer:

The equation for height is

h=32sin(\frac{\pi}{2}t)+14

Step-by-step explanation:

we are given

An iron ball is bobbing up and down on the end of a spring

So, height function must be trigonometric in nature

So, we can use formula

h=Asin(Bt)+D

now, we can find A , B and D

Calculation of A:

maximum height 46 inch

minimum height =18 inch

so,

A=\frac{46+18}{2}=32

Calculation of B:

It takes the ball 2 seconds to go from its maximum height to its minimum height

So, half of time period is 2 sec

\frac{T}{2}=2

T=4

now, we can use period formula

T=\frac{2\pi}{B}

we can find B

4=\frac{2\pi}{B}

B=\frac{2\pi}{4}

B=\frac{\pi}{2}

Calculation of D:

Max=46

min=18

D=\frac{46-18}{2}

D=14

now, we can plug these values into formula

and we get

h=32sin(\frac{\pi}{2}t)+14
