3x+2y=11--------x1
7x-y=3------------x2

3x+2y=11---equ 1
14x-2y=6---equ 2

equ 1+ equ 2 will eliminate y
17x=17
x=1
then put x=1 in equ 1
3(1)+2y=11
2y=11-3
2y=8
y=8/2
y=4

P and q are prime numbers <br> P³×q=56<br> Find p and q
aksik [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

p has to be pretty small because it is cubed. 3 doesn't work because 3 cubed = 27 which does not divide into 56.

So we should try p = 2

2^3 = 8

56 / 8 = 7

2 is prime

7 is prime

p = 2

q = 7

X is less than or equal to 1
levacccp [35]

Answer:

X is equal to 1, because for any other number x, 1*x = x. So, the reason that any number to the zero power is one is because any number to the zero power is just the product of no numbers at all.

Rework problem 15 in section 2 of Chapter 5 of your textbook about the growing suburb and the declining city using the following
bazaltina [42]

Answer:

16 years.

Step-by-step explanation:

Please consider the complete question.

Assume that the suburb has a population of 686,000 and is growing at a rate of 4000 per year. Assume that the city has a population of 942,000 and is declining at a rate of 12000 per year. In how many years will the populations of the suburb and the city be equal?

Let x represent number of years.

Growth function would be G(x)=4000x+686,000 and decline function would be D(x)=942,000-12,000x.

To find the time when both populations will be equal, we will equate both functions as:

4000x+686,000=942,000-12,000x

4000x+12,000x+686,000=942,000

16,000x+686,000=942,000

16,000x=942,000-686,000

16,000x=256,000

\frac{16,000x}{16,000}=\frac{256,000}{16,000}

x=16

Therefore, in 16 years the populations of the suburb and the city will be equal.

Needed help with this question!
In-s [12.5K]
A) is 2x
b) is x^{3}
c) is -2x

I think these are correct.
log_{10}1000^{x] = log_{10}10^{2x}=2x
I did similar things to get other answers
1000^{log_{10}x} = 10^{3log_{10}x}=10^{log_{10}x^{3}}=x^{3}
