Answer:

Beowulf was a hero of the Geats. He sailed with his chosen companions to Hrotgar´s kingdom because the Hrothgar's mead hall was under attack by a monster known as Grendel.

Explanation:

Grendel is an ogre who lives in the wilderness outside their village,Grendel, an ogre who lives in the wilderness outside their village. He kills Hrothgar's men with little trouble because he is immune to human weapons. Grendel attacks the Danes because of their arrogance and his jealousy. As a monster, he is forever barred from human society. But also, to my mind, the only reasons for his actions are animal motivations: hunger, protection of his territory, fear of outsiders and pre-emptive strike, as It is clear that the Danes are intruders in Grendel’s environment.

An author wants to show that a character is growing up and is on her way to college. What season would be an appropriate setting
MariettaO [177]

Answer:

Summer is the time of the year when students are transitioning from a previous grade to a new one, they are maturing personally and environmentally.

With the intention of writing about a character who is growing up and on her way to college, the author of a book can use the setting of summer to signify these new changes in his/ her character's life. Summer symbolizes the time when a new academic year starts, and also the advent of new and brighter season bringing life to the world. Thus, summer will be the appropriate setting for the characterization of this character who is on her way to college and starting a new academic life.

strojnjashka [21]
The best way that would help Markus understand the central ideas as he reads is that, he will be able to idea this by looking at the other elements in a story. The paragraphs in the story he reads will unify into one theme which will lead him to the central idea. One characteristic of a central idea is that, this includes the general or the universal theme of the story.
