It is because the sea is blue, Because Fuji is blue, because the bent blue Men have white faces, like the snow On Fuji, like the crest of the wave in the sky the color of their Boats. It is because the air Is full of writing, because the wave is still: that nothing Will harm these frail strangers, That high over Fuji in an earth colored sky the fingers Will not fall; and the blue men Lean on the sea like snow, and the wave like a mountain leans Against the sky. The main subject of the poem is the relationship between the sea and man. The several references to waves and them offering no harm to the strangers indicates a good relationship between the two.

  • The tense represented by 'did' in the above questions is the past tense.
  • In English, the word "DO" frequently appears.
  • This is due to the fact that it can be both an auxiliary verb (Do / Does / Did) and a verb TO DO (Do / Does / Did / Done).
  • For all subjects, DID is the past tense of DO.
  • In order to create a question in the past tense in English, the auxiliary DID is typically placed at the start of the question or right before the main subject.
  • In English, DID is used with both regular and irregular verbs.

Therefore, the question word 'did' is used to represent to question an event held in the past. The shift in the auxiliary verb is the only distinction between a query in the present tense and one in the past tense.

Why would an author begin a story in medias res?
stellarik [79]

Answer:

To keep the story suspenseful for the readers up till the end.

Explanation:

The term "medias res" refers to the process or act of starting a story or narrative from a crucial point in the story, which is normally in the middle of the story. This means that medias res starts the story in the middle, in the midst of things.

By starting a story in the middle of events, the author maintains a sense of suspense in the readers. The readers do not know what is to happen, nor are they given any background story to let them understand how the story had been till that given point. This piques the interest of the readers, keeping them hooked to the story till the end.
